The TLDR (Too Long, Didn’t Read)
I help Christians break free from sexual sin by dealing with both the spiritual and the flesh side of the problem. If demonic influence is present, I start with deliverance — casting out unclean spirits in Jesus’ name — so the person can be free to receive discipleship. Then I walk with them through renewing their mind, building spiritual habits, and setting up accountability. My goal isn’t just to stop a behavior, but to see them walking in lasting purity and victory through the power of Christ.
My Approach to Counseling Sexual Sin: Philosophy and Method
I believe sexual sin is one of the most destructive forces a Christian can face. God’s Word clearly teaches that sexual immorality — whether it be lust, pornography, fornication, adultery, or other forms of impurity — is not only a work of the flesh but can also be fueled and intensified by the direct influence of unclean spirits. In my experience, both personally and in counseling others, freedom is rarely complete if only one of these areas is addressed
My philosophy is simple:
If the root of the bondage is demonic, the spiritual “infection” must be cast out before the fleshly “wound” can be healed. Trying to disciple the flesh while a demon still drives the compulsion is like bandaging a wound without removing the source of the infection — it will not heal fully.
My Beliefs About Sexual Sin
- Sexual sin is never “just a habit” or “just a weakness.” It is sin against one’s own body (1 Corinthians 6:18) and a direct rebellion against God’s design for holiness and purity.
- It is both a moral issue (Galatians 5:19–21) and a spiritual warfare issue (Ephesians 6:12).
- True freedom is possible only through Jesus Christ, who gives power to crucify the flesh (Galatians 5:24) and authority to cast out demons (Mark 16:17).
My Method
- Discern the Source
- I begin by listening, praying, and discerning — with the help of the Holy Spirit — whether the bondage is primarily carnal, demonic, or both.
- Deliverance First (If Needed)
- If there are signs of demonic involvement — such as persistent compulsion despite sincere repentance, spiritual oppression, or unclean manifestations — I minister deliverance in the authority of Jesus Christ. This involves the person repenting and renouncing the sin, and me directly commanding any unclean spirits to leave in Jesus’ name.
- Discipleship Second
- Once the demonic hold is broken, I address the flesh through biblical teaching, mind renewal (Romans 12:2), spiritual disciplines, and accountability. This is where lasting transformation takes root.
- Ongoing Support
- I continue walking with the individual, equipping them to resist temptation, guard their heart and mind, and grow in their relationship with Christ.
My Commitment
I am committed to speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), maintaining confidentiality, and always relying on the Word of God as my final authority. I believe no one is beyond hope, and that through the power of the Holy Spirit, complete freedom is possible.
If you are struggling with sexual sin, I will not shame you. I will fight with you and for you — first by removing the spiritual chains, and then by helping you live in the freedom and holiness God has called you to.
