I’ve been wanting to write this for 3 years, and now seems as good as any to post my views on this question. Christians, let’s look in the mirror.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the pregnant christian going to the voting booth, choosing a candidate who is for abortion.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who only prays when they are really in trouble
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who doesn’t love their husbands/wives anymore.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who puts their kids above God/husbands/wives.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the smoking christian who won’t kick the habit, defiling the temple of God.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the overweight christian who can’t stop stuffing food in their mouths and typing their hate for our President with glazed coated thumbs.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian that won’t pick up their Bible and memorize verses beyond John 3:16.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who worries all the time and puts their trust in doctors instead of God.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who is screwing around on their husband/wife by private messaging their “text lover.”
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who says “G*D D*MN” every other word.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who doesn’t IMMEDIATELY ask for forgiveness when they sin or forgives others when they sin against them.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who would rather spend time on their phone as opposed to spending time with their family.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who can’t manage their money and is constantly scraping by, not having money for tithing.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who is a two-timer (goes to church only on Christmas & Easter.)
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who gossips to others about Donald Trump not being a very good Christian.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who defies authority by not speaking honorably about the person who has been set in charge over them.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the practicing “christian” homosexual that things are “all ok.”
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who uses foul language, but tells his/her kids not to do what Mom/Dad does.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who is tight with their money, not giving anything to anyone.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who has forgotten how they were, or worse yet, forgotten where they are in their own race and are so far behind, they think they are ahead.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian that speaks such ugliness about others and the world around them.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who spout scripture, then is racist, a sexual predator, a liar, a cheat, and acting more like a devil than a disciple.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who gets angry and/or lusts after others, thus murdering and committing adultery in their hearts.
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who has a porn addiction
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who suffers from anxiety/depression
- “Donald Trump is not a Christian,” says the christian who loses his/her temper
I trust I’ve made my point, but just so you don’t think that I think that Donald Trump is some sort of second-coming little god-man:
- “Donald Trump is a great Christian,” ’cause he uses scripture in his speeches. He’s a politician! He’s appeasing his voters. BTW, Satan knows scripture as well.
- “Donald Trump is a great Christian,” ’cause he speaks the truth – yeah, with a whole lot of foul language (see above.)
- “Donald Trump is a great Christian,” ’cause he is outside the system and he fights for us. Mmmm….ok. Again, he’s a politician, and all of them lie to get/keep their job.
- “Donald Trump is a great Christian,” ’cause he’s gonna lead this country to greatness/has led our country to greatness. Let’s not forget the Pharo over Joseph, Nebucanezzar over Daniel, and other assorted Kings that God has ALLOWED being in places of power for HIS purposes – they were not Christians.
- “Donald Trump is a great Christian,” ’cause I would allow him around my kids – no way!
- “Donald Trump is a great Christian,” ’cause his Tweets are so Christian – UGH!
- “Donald Trump is a great Christian,” ’cause he doesn’t gloat – YEAH RIGHT!
While there are more points on the first section than the second, I trust I made my point.
Only God knows the heart of a man/woman…only God.
How will Jesus judge you as a follower of His when you stand before Him on your first day in the Kingdom?
