Radiohead’s “Creep” is just awesome. I will say that I did the “clean” version, so,..sorry traditionalists.
Creep is a song I can relate to and it’s pretty obvious why, for those who knew me back in my single days. How I felt about myself and how I put women that I was infatuated with on a pedestal was most likely the same as Thom felt when he wrote this song. The book “Radiohead: Hysterical and Useless” recounts that the song was most likely created by Thom’s obsession with a woman that he frequently saw in the park. Although I never got drunk and confessed my obsession with some of the past crushes in my life, Thom apparently did and freaked the woman out when he confessed his drunken heart to her. I think all men in their single days have had, at least, one women in their life that they remember and this song sums it up. I’m so glad I’m married.
