I’ll See The Light Tonight is a song that just,..WAILS! As a side note, this song has “end-times” elements all throughout the tune.
I’ll See The Light Tonight is one of my favorite songs by Yngwie Malmsteen’s album “Rising Force; Marching Out” and it just wails. Malmsteen can shred a guitar and, in 80s fashion, he does just that. It’s an interesting side note to the song as it pertains to prophecy. As I’m sure that Yngwie did not intend this, there are a lot of elements of end-times prophecy events sprinkled throughout the piece as well as the reasons for not being able to see the warnings to this gloom-and-doom scenario pertaining to original sin and how Satan clouds the minds to hide the truth “Victims of circumstance, not able to decide“. Again, I don’t think that Yngwie had that in mind,..but it’s there.

Lyrics:
I’ve seen visions in the night, passing through the stars
Who’s to run and who’s to fight?
Evil tries to pull me in, enslaving me to die
Who’s to lose and who’s to win?
I’ll see the light, tonight, flashing through the sky
Take my life, tonight
Now, the chaos has begun, people crying out
You’re all alone, you gotta run
Victims of circumstance, not able to decide
No, we never had a chance
I’ll see the light, tonight, flashing through the sky
Take my life, tonight
I’ll see the light, tonight, flashing through the sky
Take my life, tonight
Evil tries to pull me in, enslaving me to die
Who’s to lose and who’s to win?
Victims of circumstance, not able to decide
No, we never had a chance
I’ll see the light, tonight, flashing through the sky
Take my life, tonight
I’ll see the light, tonight, flashing through the sky
Take my life, tonight
