“Would” is a signature song from the album “Dirt” by Alice In Chains. They were, and are, my favorite group. 100 days to go after today.
I first heard “Would” in passing from this new band called Alice In Chains. Little did I know that they would become my favorite band during the 90s and arguably my all time fav group of all time. I loved their “feel” and the combination of a hard, gritty edge with their etherical vocals. When Layne Staley died, it really hit me hard, not only for losing an incredible voice but in the manor of how he died as well as the fact that he was not missed for quite a while, which meant that he was,..alone. Layne is missed.
BTW,..today marks the “countdown” from 100. Not long now before this project comes to a close.
Lyrics:
Know me broken by my master
Teach thee on child of love hereafter
Into the flood again
Same old trip it was back then
So I made a big mistake
Try to see it once my way
Drifting body it’s sole desertion
Flying not yet quite the notion
Into the flood again
Same old trip it was back then
So I made a big mistake
Try to see it once my way
Into the flood again
Same old trip it was back then
So I made a big mistake
Try to see it once my way
Am I wrong?
Have I run too far to get home?
Have I gone?
And left you here alone?
Am I wrong?
Have I run too far to get home?
Have I gone?
And left you here alone?
If I would, could you?
