Christ on the cross

The things that never ever sent anyone to Hell…..sins.

If we were to follow that false ideology – that sinning puts me in Hell – to its logical conclusion, we can say that not sinning will keep me out of Hell, which is clearly false.

Most people (even a great many Christians) believe that sin and the continual act of sinning send people to Hell. This is NOT TRUE! What sends people to Hell is not being reconciled to God through Jesus Christ – putting your faith and trust in Jesus, WHO PAID for all sins on the cross.

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12 KJV.

– and –

“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” ~John 3:18 KJV.

– and –

“And when he (the Holy Ghost) is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me (Jesus Christ);” ~John 16:8-9 KJV.

Belief, having put your faith and trust in Jesus, is the only requirement for escaping Hell. The only sin that matters is dis-belief in Jesus (John 16:9). Having the mindset that sins (stealing, hate, abuse, murder, homosexuality, adultery, pornography, cowardness, etc.) send you to the lake of fire puts you on a works-based gospel, which is a false one. If we were to follow that false ideology – that sinning puts me in Hell – to its logical conclusion, we can say that not sinning will keep me out of Hell, which is clearly false.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” ~Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV.

Does this mean that after we put our faith and trust in Jesus, we can sin all day long? Nope.

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” ~Romans 6:1-2 KJV.

– and –

“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” ~Romans 6:6 KJV.

Faith in Christ and what He did on the cross keeps you from Hell, not works.
