Bridge Over Troubled Water is just a beautiful song by Simon & Garfunkel. I can remember hearing this when I was a little boy.
Bridge Over Troubled Water is an obvious song about giving comfort to a person in need. Paul Simon said that this was “considerable better than what I usually write” in a documentary about the tune. Paul thought that the lyrics at the beginning of the song were too simple, but later realized that those “simple lyrics” was what gave the song a universal appeal. For me, I heard this song on 8-track and it’s haunting melody stuck with me. I always associate it with AM radio as well. Bridge Over Troubled Water is a timeless piece, a credit to good song writing.
