A "Gideon Moment" in the Presidential Election

A “Gideon Moment” With Regard To The Election

Hope is fading with regard to the Presidential Election, but could this be a “Gideon Moment?”

More and more Trump voters are losing hope that the election will go to the rightly elected candidate.  In times like this, it is easy to not see hope in the process and “settle in” for 4 years of Joe Biden.

But could this be a “Gideon Moment” in the election process?  After all, as of the writing of this article, nothing is set in stone.  Let me explain the Gideon paradigm, starting with a few passages from the book of Judges.

“And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me. Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand. And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go. So he brought down the people unto the water: and the Lord said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink. And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water. And the Lord said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.”

‭‭Judges‬ ‭7:2-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Throughout this entire process, the men that Gideon was charged in finding were too many.  The large group of thousands was whittled down to 300.  God wanted it to be known that a person who, in the eyes of the world, wasn’t much of a man (Gideon – Judges 6:15), with 300 men, would beat an army, and all credit would have to go to God, because it was the only possible explanation.

With things being stripped away, (the cases, evidence, etc.) in this Presidential election fiasco, and the light of hope is slowly going out in the minds of Trump voters, I propose that God is whittling away the “fearful & afraid” people, and trimming off the “knee benders”, thus leaving the true warriors that will lead the President to victory against the modern day Midianites, and the only explanation for the “victory from nowhere” will be God Himself.

As a final note, and this is a personal one — I would rather be wrong in this prediction and stand by God, than be right and stand by the world.

It’s not over.
