The Millennium Kingdom & Eternity

The End Times Timeline, Part 7: The Millennium Kingdom & Eternity

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmail

What will happen to the people and the Earth during Jesus’ 1000 year reign?  What will eternity be like?  Will the Earth be restored?  Where will be people that didn’t take up Jesus be?

So, let’s recap things a little before we proceed.

The armies arrived to battle the King of King and Lord of Lords, but we know how that ended (Revelation 19:11-21).  While there will be many that believe that Jesus with the armies of Heaven will speak a Word and that’ll be it, they would be mistaken as the enemies of God will be slaughtered (Zechariah 14:1-15, Joel 2:1-11, 30-32, Zephaniah 1:2-18).  Let’s put it this way, there’s a reason why the birds will have a feast (Revelation 19:17-18, 21). Jesus arrived with the armies of Heaven and all the saints (Revelation 6:12-17, 7:9-17, 8:1-6, 11:15-19, 14:1-5, 16:17-21, 19:11-21). and the Millenial Kingdom begins it’s 1000 year reign.

So, what happens next?

The temple will be restored

Ezekiel's temple

The third temple/Ezekiel’s temple (Ezekiel, chapters 40-48) will be a literal temple which will be present before, during and after the tribulation.  The third temple should never be looked at as an allegory.  For those that believe that the allegory method should be applied to Ezekiel’s temple, then you must adhere to finding the spiritual message in each and every verse within the 9 chapters.

“Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who was speaking, “How long will the vision be, concerning the daily sacrifices and the transgression of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled underfoot?” And he said to me, “For two thousand three hundred days; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.””
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭8:13-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

A reference to what went on during the tribulation. The small passage of scripture is in the context to the designs of the Lord’s dwelling place within the temple.

“When they set their threshold by My threshold, and their doorpost by My doorpost, with a wall between them and Me, they defiled My holy name by the abominations which they committed; therefore I have consumed them in My anger.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭43:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Nations will come to the Lord at His temple

Nations will come to the Lord at His temple

The people/saints of the world will come to learn about Jesus and the Law of God (the law is present until the end of this age).  The saints that will judge the world and angels will need to know how to do so.  There is a president in this found in Exodus where Moses’s father-in-law urged him to teach others how to judge (Exodus 18:13-24)

“Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And peoples shall flow to it. Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
‭‭Micah‬ ‭4:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬

Sacrifices will be done throughout the millennial age

Sacrifices will be done throughout the millennial age

Now, we must understand something; if we are to take the third temple and the rituals as a literal event that will come to pass, we must take all of it in.  No, sacrifices are not meant to bring a person to salvation Hebrews 9:13-10:18), but sacrifices were meant as atonement (Leviticus 17:11).  The book of Hebrews was meant to keep former Jews that had come to Jesus Christ from going back to the mistaken theocratic system that was warped and twisted from the original law.  That twisted system stated that one could obtain salvation through sacrifice, which is not correct.

While blood sacrifices are no longer needed for salvation, nor needed for those that have taken up Jesus, there will be those coming out of the tribulation, as well as those being born in the 1000 year Kingdom, that will need to be “atoned”.  Blood sacrifices were meant, in a nutshell, to keep us physically safe from God’s glory/wrath for a time.  The passages (Ezekiel‬ ‭40:39, ‭43:18-27) are meant to support this claim.

“In the vestibule of the gateway were two tables on this side and two tables on that side, on which to slay the burnt offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭40:39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And He said to me, “Son of man, thus says the Lord GOD: ‘These are the ordinances for the altar on the day when it is made, for sacrificing burnt offerings on it, and for sprinkling blood on it. You shall give a young bull for a sin offering to the priests, the Levites, who are of the seed of Zadok, who approach Me to minister to Me,’ says the Lord GOD. ‘You shall take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar, on the four corners of the ledge, and on the rim around it; thus you shall cleanse it and make atonement for it. Then you shall also take the bull of the sin offering, and burn it in the appointed place of the temple, outside the sanctuary. On the second day you shall offer a kid of the goats without blemish for a sin offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as they cleansed it with the bull. When you have finished cleansing it, you shall offer a young bull without blemish, and a ram from the flock without blemish. When you offer them before the LORD, the priests shall throw salt on them, and they will offer them up as a burnt offering to the LORD. Every day for seven days you shall prepare a goat for a sin offering; they shall also prepare a young bull and a ram from the flock, both without blemish. Seven days they shall make atonement for the altar and purify it, and so consecrate it. When these days are over it shall be, on the eighth day and thereafter, that the priests shall offer your burnt offerings and your peace offerings on the altar; and I will accept you,’ says the Lord GOD.””
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭43:18-27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

There will be people that survive the tribulation. Not all flesh will be extinct.

“And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Because there will be people that have survived the tribulation, and because those people, Jews and Gentiles, are still of the flash and not in Christ, they are still under the law.

“What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:7, 14, 22-23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The blood sacrifices were never meant as a means of salvation,

“For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God cannot stand the sight of sin, and he would utterly destroy it and the person if it weren’t for the blood. The blood is meant to atone only.

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’”
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭17:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Saints will judge the world and angels during the millennial time.

The Saints will judge the world and angels during the millennial time

“And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭18:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?”
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭6:2-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

With regard to the Saints judging the people of the world, we create a template from Moses’s father-in-law Jethro on how to set up a system of judgment which does not rely solely on one individual.

“And so it was, on the next day, that Moses sat to judge the people; and the people stood before Moses from morning until evening. So when Moses’ father-in-law saw all that he did for the people, he said, “What is this thing that you are doing for the people? Why do you alone sit, and all the people stand before you from morning until evening?” And Moses said to his father-in-law, “Because the people come to me to inquire of God. When they have a difficulty, they come to me, and I judge between one and another; and I make known the statutes of God and His laws.” So Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “The thing that you do is not good. Both you and these people who are with you will surely wear yourselves out. For this thing is too much for you; you are not able to perform it by yourself. Listen now to my voice; I will give you counsel, and God will be with you: Stand before God for the people, so that you may bring the difficulties to God. And you shall teach them the statutes and the laws, and show them the way in which they must walk and the work they must do. Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. And let them judge the people at all times. Then it will be that every great matter they shall bring to you, but every small matter they themselves shall judge. So it will be easier for you, for they will bear the burden with you. If you do this thing, and God so commands you, then you will be able to endure, and all this people will also go to their place in peace.””
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭18:13-23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
‭‭Micah‬ ‭4:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Satan is unable to deceive anyone for 1000 years.

Satan is unable to deceive anyone for 1000 years

“Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭20:1-3‬ ‭NKJV‬

There will be an uprising at the end of the millennial age.

There will be an uprising at the end of the millennial age

“Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭20:7-10‬ ‭NKJV‬

Those that died without Christ throughout all of time will be raised up and judged.

Those that died without Christ throughout all of time will be raised up and judged

Christians WILL NOT BE A PART OF THIS!!!  The White Throne judgment will be reserved for those that thought their works/rituals were good enough to get them into Heaven.  This is the reason why the Law of God will still be in effect during and a little after the 1000 year reign of Jesus, so those people will be judged by the perfect standard of God, which is found in His Law.

‬“Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭20:11-15‬ ‭NKJV‬

‬“For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.”
‭‭James‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Heaven and earth will be purified by fire.

Heaven and earth will be purified by fire

“For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.”
‭‭II Peter‬ ‭3:5-7, 10-13‬ ‭NKJV‬

The people and animals in the new Heaven and new Earth.

The people and animals in the new Heaven and new Earth

““For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; For behold, I create Jerusalem as a rejoicing, And her people a joy. I will rejoice in Jerusalem, And joy in My people; The voice of weeping shall no longer be heard in her, Nor the voice of crying. “No more shall an infant from there live but a few days, Nor an old man who has not fulfilled his days; For the child shall die one hundred years old, But the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed. They shall build houses and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They shall not build and another inhabit; They shall not plant and another eat; For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, And My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labor in vain, Nor bring forth children for trouble; For they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the LORD, And their offspring with them. “It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, The lion shall eat straw like the ox, And dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,” Says the LORD.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭65:17-25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

““The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea. “And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be glorious.””
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭11:6-10‬ ‭NKJV‬

The environment of the new Heaven and new Earth‬.

The environment of the new Heaven and new Earth

“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.””
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:1-8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation wa s jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.”

“But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.”

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭6:9-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.”
