Pie Jesu is one of the most well known song from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Requiem”. It was a piece I became familiar with during my college years.

Requiem Pie JesuPie Jesu was a piece that I first noticed during my time in college with my fraternity brothers (OAS…AAS…LLS). Phi Mu Alpha’s “black night” held a wonderful memory for me as I was initiated into this professional music fraternity. They played this CD, that’s a disk with music on it for all you younger peeps out there, during the evening. It was at that time I first heard the whole Requiem and was blown away at Webber’s composition. Normally, Sarah Brightman would have sung this song, but today, it was me.

Lyrics: (replace [Sarah:] with Robert *chuckle*)

Qui tollis peccata mundi
Dona eis requiem, dona eis requiem

Qui tollis peccata mundi
Dona eis requiem, dona eis requiem

[choir:]

[both:]
Qui tollis peccata mundi
Dona eis requiem, dona eis requiem

[choir:]
