Buck Rogers in the 25th Century

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century | Day 331

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century was an 80s show that I never missed.  I bet you didn’t know that the theme music had words.

Buck Rogers in the 25th CenturyBuck Rogers in the 25th Century’s theme song was instrumental throughout the entirety of the series, but the pilot was another matter.  Many TV theme songs have words attached to them but are often left behind for the instrumental versions and this show was no exception.  I’ve taken the liberty to include all relevant information in the lyrics portion of this post as performers and writers should get the credit they deserve, even if the singing was only heard during the pilot.

Only 34 days left…

Lyrics:

This end title credit theme song form the original pilot.

Vocals by Kipp Lennon
Lyrics and Music by Glen A. Larson
Arranged and Produced by Dave Fisher

Far beyond the world I’ve known,
Far beyond my time.

What am I, Who am I, What will I be?
Where am I going and What will I see?
Searching my mind for some truth to reveal,
What thoughts are fantasy and what memories real?

Long before this life of mine,
Long before this time.
What was there?
Who cared, to make it begin?
Is it forever or will it all end?

Searching my past for the things that I’ve seen.
Is it my life or just something I’ve dreamed?

Far beyond this world I’ve known,
Far beyond my time.

What kind of world am I going to find?
Will it be real or just all in my mind?

What am I, Who am I, What will I be?
Where am I going and what will I see?
